‘A new chapter in the company's history’
Acquisition of Sauerland-based fittings specialist Kludi by RAK Ceramics completed
After the responsible regulatory authorities have approved the sale of the Kludi Group (www.kludi.com) to RAK Ceramics, the takeover of the Sauerland-based fittings specialist becomes legally effective as of today. RAK Ceramics, a leading supplier of ceramic lifestyle solutions based in the United Arab Emirates, is one of the world's top five ceramic manufacturers. The listed company from Ras Al Khaimah had contractually agreed the purchase with Kludi's previous owner, Franz Scheffer, in mid-March.
‘This is a new and promising chapter in our company's almost 100-year history,’ explains Julian Henco, Chairman of the Management Board of Kludi GmbH & Co. KG. ‘The cooperation with RAK Ceramics is an important precondition for Kludi to continue on the growth path we have embarked on with the comprehensive repositioning of our brand, sales and manufacturing strategy.’ To this end, the two companies have formed joint working groups with equal representation to define possible areas of cooperation - for example in market development. The Kludi CEO announced that the medium-sized company will continue to systematically invest in the modernization and digitalization of its production and logistics. ‘We receive full support in this regard from our strategic partner RAK Ceramics,’ said Julian Henco.
