Fittings specialist Kludi once again one of the ‘Major brands in Germany’ for 2023 and wins the Callwey Award for the first time
For the third year in a row, the German Design Council has included the Sauerland-based fittings specialist Kludi (www.kludi.com) in its compendium ‘Major brands in Germany’. The series, which has been published annually since 2013, presents – according to the publisher – “outstanding brand companies” and “reflects the entire spectrum of excellent brand management.” This year’s edition with its motto ‘Recreate. Transform. Be resilient.’ perfectly fits into these times shaped by many different uncertainties and is “a permanent workout for our resilience muscle,” as Lutz Dietzold, CEO of the German Design Council, emphasised at the book presentation ceremony in Berlin. “Always thinking in terms of new solutions and constantly being willing and able to make changes – even unpopular ones if necessary – is the order of the day for companies in view of the prevailing general circumstances. This is also what makes the Kludi brand and its strategic realignment stand out,” confirms Arndt Papenfuß, Marketing Director of the Kludi Group. Strict concentration of the brand essence on the fittings expertise of the SME has guaranteed continuity in a dynamically evolving environment. This focus has also helped the manufacturer of premium fittings for bathrooms and kitchens to repeatedly stand out in the market with innovative products.
‘Solution of the Year’: Winner in the category ‘Bathrooom’
This also includes the Kludi Nova Fonte Pura range presented this year with its extremely sophisticated design, unparalleled in the bathroom. After winning the coveted Red Dot Award 2022, the single-lever washbasin fittings have now also impressed as one of the “most innovative product solutions” in the ‘Houses of the Year 2022’ competition, which the Munich-based Callwey publishing house, renowned for its books on architecture, has been organising in collaboration with the German Architecture Museum since 2011. In the running for the Callwey Awards, not only are the 50 most beautiful one-family homes in the German-speaking region honoured year after year, but also 20 product solutions that score points with their innovation, design and sustainability. In the category ‘Bathroom, Sanitary and Fittings’, the jury awarded first prize to the Kludi range of fittings. “The extremely sophisticated design and reduced dimensions of all the Nova Fonte Pura models are not only aesthetically pleasing, but they also enable the amount of material that is used to make them to be significantly reduced, which tangibly saves raw materials and energy during the production,” explains Katrin Wiedemann, Head of Marketing Communication and PR at Kludi. “With these features reducing the ecological footprint of the Nova Fonte Pura, it meets the demands of contemporary sustainability in a very special way.”
