Nothing gets flatter than this

The Kludi Slim.Boxx is setting new benchmarks in terms of in-wall installation

• Slim by name, slim by nature: the ready-to-install sets for the Kludi Slim.Boxx have one of the flattest and smallest rosettes on the market.

• The slimmed down, particularly installation-friendly depth of just 75 millimetres also allows the box to be fitted in thin dry-walls.

• The single-piece rubber housing can be cut to length without special tools and ensures a perfect seal.

• Up to seven degrees of rotational offset can be effortlessly compensated for during installation.

• The packaging is 100% free of plastic.

• Available from July 2023.

The trend towards in-wall bathroom fittings continues. Today, most plumbers working in new buildings or carrying out extensive renovation work recommend in-wall fittings. Because these take up less room than their wall-mounted counterparts, they allow greater flexibility in terms of design – a bonus in small bathrooms, which remain very commonplace today.

Designed by the Sauerland-based fittings specialist Kludi (www.kludi.com), the new Slim.Boxx – a multi-optimised enhancement of the industry’s favourite Kludi Flexx.Boxx – is setting new benchmarks in the sanitary equipment sector in terms of flexibility. The elegant rosettes included in the trim set are a mere seven millimetres high – and their diameter has been significantly reduced too. ‘This makes the Slim.Boxx rosettes some of the flattest and smallest on the market,’ states Arndt Papenfuss, Marketing Director of the Kludi Group. It’s not just architects and interior designers who appreciate the fact that Kludi’s in-wall installation sets, now blend even more discreetly and unobtrusively into the entire interior design of the bathroom.

Installation in a drywall? Kludi has it covered!
The 2023 version of Kludi’s tried-and-trusted concealed installation unit brings even greater benefits than simply being flatter and smaller than comparable products from competitive manufacturers. The Sauerland-based premium brand for bathroom and kitchen fittings has also reduced the installation depth of the Slim.Boxx. It is now particularly installation-friendly at a mere 75 millimetres – including 30 millimetre clearance. ‘It’s probably technically impossible to reduce it any further,’ claims Marketing Director Papenfuss, confidently. This makes the innovative concealed box the perfect solution when fittings are being installed in thin drywalls.

Making lighter work for the professionals
When developing the Slim.Boxx, the Menden-based fittings specialist also focussed on further optimising ease of assembly and installation. The key advantage of the new concealed box in this respect is the possibility to compensate for a rotational offset of up to seven degrees during installation. To do this, the plumber simply removes the pre-assembled positioning pins that facilitate installation of the functional unit in a perfectly horizontal position. Another bonus: contrary to competitors’ products, the housing can be reduced down to size easily with a cutter. This is due to the fact that the housing is made from rubber, renowned for its excellent impermeability. Other concealed boxes on the market are often manufactured from multiple components made out of hard, thermoset plastic that is prone to breaking and takes a lot of time to saw down to size. ‘At the end of the day, these advantages help make the work of professional plumbers easier, saving both time and money,’ explains Papenfuss. ‘It pays off that we listen closely to what our partners in the market say and take their suggestions for product improvements seriously.’

100% plastic-free
The Kludi Slim.Boxx also meets today’s demand for sustainability in a special way. As is the case with all products launched from 2019 onwards, Kludi no longer uses any plastic in its packaging materials. Instead, the mid-sized company insists on 100% compostable, bio-based alternatives. Besides packaging, Kludi has also reduced the amount of plastic used in the product itself. For example, the support pipe of the Slim.Boxx is made from a wood-plastic composite. Kludi also equips its Slim.Boxx with a cardboard cover made from recycled paper.
