Kludi Nova Fonte receives Red Dot Award 2022 for outstanding design
“The design of these bath mixers skilfully combines a filigree visual lightness with precise elaboration in detail.” That is how the international jury of 48 experts explained their decision to hand the coveted Red Dot Award: Product Design to the German fittings specialist Kludi (www.kludi.com) for its Nova Fonte series. The competition for the globally recognised seal of quality was strong, with over 7,900 sub-missions from around 60 countries in 2022. According to the organiser, the award is handed only to “products that demonstrate outstanding design”.
Achetype of a new era
We are of course delighted to receive this prestigious award. For us, it is confirmation that the design quality of our Nova Fonte series is among the best in the world”, says Arndt Papenfuss, Marketing Director of the Kludi Group. Nova Fonte is available in three design variants, Classic, Puristic and Déco, which each provide their own interpretation of a classic, modern bathroom while granting creative freedom in bathroom design. All three feature clear, elegant design and a refreshingly restrained stylistic idiom. This is especially true of the puristic Nova Fonte Pura single-lever mixers for washbasins and bidets that were added to the range this year. They stand out above all due to their slender lines and highly filigree design, whose consistency is unequalled in the bathroom sector. “Pura therefore creates a strong and unique impression that makes it the perfect expression of a new era”, says Papenfuss. “All the more so given how Pura responds to the need for sustainability through its reduced use of materials.”

Kludi fittings are not only used in countless private houses and flats, but also in many prestigious projects such as the L'Oréal "Horizon J1" German headquarters in Düsseldorf, the elegant Kayumanis Private Villa & Spa Hotel in Yangshuo, the five-star "Sheraton Grand Krakow" hotel in Krakow, the "Karolinenhof" residential complex in Regensburg or the trendy "Urban Loft" boutique hotel in the heart of Cologne.
The Kludi family has around 900 employees in sales and production companies in eleven countries in Europe and Asia. In addition to the fully integrated main plant in Menden, Kludi manufactures its fittings in Hornstein/Austria and Diósd/Hungary as well as in the United Arab Emirates.
